So…2010 was a bad year for me. No question about it…it sucked ass. Well…2011 is only in January and its officially in the crapper already. We havent even made it out of the first month of the year yet (today is the 25th) and the following negative events have already occurred:
I have the belief that everything happens for a reason…but right now…I dont really understand why Im seemingly stuck in this vortex of negativity. I can tell you that it is really draining though. And it makes it difficult to see any light…any positivity…at the end of any tunnel right now.
The New Luther, a sandwich from a restaurant called ChurchKey in Washington, D.C. What is in the sandwich you ask? Here it is…
“…a house-made brioche donut is glazed in savory maple-chicken jus and topped with warm pieces of oven-baked pecans. While that sounds like a meal already, the brioche is cut in half and stuffed with a hunk of buttermilk fried chicken and wedges of applewood smoked bacon.”
So…the Net’ is abuzz today after some news came out that there will in two more Matrix movies created. At an event in the UK, Keanu Reeves dropped the news that the Wachowski Brothers have completed work on a two-picture script.
Now I am a HUGE Matrix fan. Like ridiculously huge. However, I don’t know how to feel about this. Yes, many people weren’t happen with the “conclusion” at the end of Matrix Revolutions (I was ok with it), but I dont know how I feel about this. What made the original movie so great was that no one saw it coming so no one had any expectations about what it was. The Matrix caught everyone off guard…and blew our minds. Reloaded and Revolutions had completely unrealistic expectations from people and the critics that it was never going to be able to fulfill. Now, to come back, many many years later, after the mainstream’s disappointment regarding Revolutions, I think is very challenging.
Will I be there day one of whatever month and year these movies open? Absolutely! I’m just very nervous about going back to the well one too many times when you don’t have to. Your thoughts?
Jordan Carver. Plum Cake.
I dont like Plums…and this is a SFW video…but Miss Carver is just smokin hot.

So…finally saw this movie last night for the first time. Cant believe it took me so long to actually see it. Missed it in the theater but got it for my birthday on Blu-Ray. And I have to say…decent action flick.
Of course this movie is all about Stallone. Stallone all tatted up. Stallone beating people up. Stallone running (awkwardly and badly I might add) anywhere and everywhere. So much of the movie is Stallone you feel like its Stallone on Steroids. Hummm…
All the other “Expendables” play decent roles…just not enough of them for my money. Statham got the second most screen time and did well with it. Jet Li looks kinda out of place in my opinion. Not enough Crews and Couture. Stone Cold Steve Austin was a good bad guy but didnt really have enough action. And a semi-sensitive moment with Micky Rourke (who still has the cool-as-shit aura)…yikes.
And action is really what this movie was all about…and it was great! I know the first part of this review made it sound like I didnt like the flick all that much. But the action was so over-the-top (which I like) that it made it enjoyable for me. The fighting sequences were good (not enough) and the explosions were all over the place…KABOOM!!!
All in all, decent like I said. I would have liked to have seen all the explosions…KABOOM…on the big screen, but glad I didnt pay to see this one. I enjoy it as a gift though and cant wait to re-watch now with Blu-Ray special mode.
