I mean 8 of these top 10 are acts that have been around for more than 10 years, which seems pretty amazing to me they are able to still generate some much revenue.

Thats quite a list…and it excludes the music from Belushi and Aykroyd with the Blues Brothers band. Watching this movie always provides great laughter to go along with the great music. And…it includes two massive car chase scenes as well…how can you beat all that…?

3 Versions of the Same Song…
THE QUESTION: Which version of “I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On” is the best…?
‘The Inquisitor’ Commentary: So, yesterday I got caught up in watching Glitter…not because its a good movie…but because Mariah is an incredibly hot woman…and she’s got one of the most remarkable voices of the last quarter century. And I dont even think that is a debatable fact…she has more #1 singles that any female artist over the last 25 years, including Madonna, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, etc.
So why this post…? Because hearing the song “I Didnt Mean to Turn You On” in the movie had me singing it all day long…its just catchy. Now, there are two other versions of that song that came out before Mariah remade it for Glitter. There is the original version, made by Cherrelle (which is gonna be the only video you’ll probably ever see a poppin’, breakdancin’ gorilla) in 1984 and the Robert Palmer remake (which he looks like a straight PIMP) in 1985. Now, the Mariah version is a little bit longer, but she just has such an amazing voice that she just hits it dead on. Plus, she kept so much of the funky disco pop 80’s beat, while adding a little 90’s synthesizer-ness to the song. So, I like the Mariah version the best…but now Im gonna post all three version for the blogosphere and see what everyone thinks. Which do you like the best…? -
